Lightweight service composition

 •  Categories: General - distributed environments

Science Library Pad helpfully pulls together and comments on several pieces by Jon Udell on the orchestration of lightweight services in the browser. Lightweight service composition is Udell's phrase for the growing ability to easily combine functionality from different machine interfaces within natural user workflows. He is looking at working with Amazon, library catalogs and our xISBN service to tie together services which enhance the functionality available to him in the browser.

I spoke briefly about lightweight service composition among other things at our Members' Council meeting earlier this week. An audio file is available [mp3].

Hi Lorcan,

I'm on a campaign to stamp out incorrect spellings of my name. It's Jon, not John.

Thanks!

My bad .. I have changed it. I knew that this was how it was spelled (I have got it right before ;-) and somebody else emailed a while before the comment -- but it slipped in.
